Optometry Clinic
The Optometry Clinic offers comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose and treat both refractive errors and ocular diseases. The eye doctors prescribe spectacle lenses to correct refractive errors and improve vision, as well as contact lenses for mission-essential personnel. Other contact lens prescriptions are available on a space-available basis. Glasses will be ordered for active duty personnel and reservists on extended active duty orders.
In addition to these services, the clinic evaluates and treats ocular diseases within the scope of optometry and prescribes therapeutic drugs appropriate for optometric care. Comprehensive eye examinations are used to assess patients who may need to consult with and/or receive treatment from network ophthalmologists, including specialists in retina, cornea, glaucoma, and oculoplastic conditions. When necessary, the optometrist will make appropriate referrals.
No referral is required to schedule an eye exam at the clinic, though they do accept referrals from other providers. The clinic also provides space-available appointments for DOD Civilian, DOD Contractors, retirees, and their dependents with 14 such appointments currently offered weekly.
