The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

The Industrial Hygiene Department supports shore commands throughout the COMNAVACTSPAIN AOR. We provide a broad array of workplace exposure monitoring and occupational safety and health risk assessment services on a request basis.

Our services Include

Baseline and Periodic Industrial Hygiene Surveys

Ashore survey periodicity as required by your most recent survey. Elements of the surveys:

  • NAHOSH program review
  • Detailed Hazard Evaluations
  • Exposure monitoring/ventilation assessment results and recommendations
  • ​Updates Medical Surveillance requirements, List of Noise Hazardous Process and Areas, as well as other required Hazard lists and documentation

Special Surveys 

  • Upon request, the IH staff can perform special surveys regarding occupational health and safety (e.g., noise surveys, ventilation surveys, NAVHOSH program consultations, indoor and quality investigations, lighting surveys and personal exposure assessments).
