The Industrial Hygiene Department supports shore commands throughout the COMNAVACTSPAIN AOR. We provide a broad array of workplace exposure monitoring and occupational safety and health risk assessment services on a request basis.

We are customer focused, and committed to providing safety and occupational health support to the world's finest Navy.

Our services include the following:

Baseline and Periodic Industrial Hygiene Surveys:

• Ashore survey periodicity as required by your most recent survey
  
  Elements of the surveys:

  • NAHOSH program review.

  • Detailed Hazard Evaluations

  • Exposure monitoring/ventilation assessment results and recommendations.

  • Updates Medical Surveillance requirements, List of Noise Hazardous Process and Areas, as well as other required Hazard lists and documentation

Special Surveys: 

• Upon request, the IH Staff can perform special surveys regarding occupational health and safety (e.g., noise surveys, ventilation surveys, NAVHOSH program consultations, indoor and quality investigations, lighting surveys and personal exposure assessments).
