The Directorate of Dental Services has the ability to provide a complete array of dental treatment procedures:
Dental Diagnostics:
Performs exams, sea duty/overseas screening for active duty and for family members
Dental Radiology:
X-ray the teeth and structures of the face/head
Preventative Dentistry:
Performs dental cleanings, annual exams, radiographs, fluoride treatments
Operative Dentistry:
Performs restorations, and dental space fillings
Dental Hygiene:
Conducts oral health education and cleanings
Prosthodontics:
Creates implants, crowns, bridges, veneers, and removable prostheses
Endodontic:
Performs root canal therapy and surgery of the teeth
Periodontics:
Performs gum surgery, maintenance, and implant placement
Orthodontics:
Fits, places, and maintains dental braces
Oral Surgery:
Performs tooth extractions and other surgeries of the mouth and jaw
Pediatric:
Specializes in the oral care of children
Appointments
Appointments for actual dental procedures are predicated on having a valid, current annual dental examination.
Dental Emergencies during business hours will be handled via sick-call. For after-hours dental emergencies, contact the emergency department. All beneficiaries will be seen for a dental emergency.
