The Dietitian is an integral part of your healthcare team. She offers nutrition guidance to help you improve the nutritional quality of your diet.

Pregnancy and Nutrition
Second Wednesday of February, April, June, August, October, December
Health Promotion Kitchen: 1030-1300
Attendance is open to pregnant and pre-pregnant women, as well as partners.

4-8-week course for meeting FEP requirements (offered as needed per request).

Naval Hospital Rota Health Promotion & Wellness Department coordinates program and provides compliance tracking with CFL.
RD assists with teaching and facilitating nutrition topics.
Nutrition Basics
45-minute lecture with 30-minute hands-on component for nutrition and diet fundamentals.
Topics include: macronutrients, balancing meals, developing a healthy eating pattern, meal planning resources, label reading.
Offered quarterly.

Mindful Eating
30-minute lecture discussing how mood can affect dietary intake and diet recommendations for supporting a healthy mindset.
Performance Nutrition
Learn the basics on how to fuel for your workout, endurance sport or upcoming competition. Recreational athletes, fitness enthusiasts and competitive athletes welcome.
Healthy Eating on a Budget
In conjunction with Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, learn how to develop a grocery budget and make healthy, budget friendly choices when grocery shopping.
Community Outreach
AFN - Dietitian's Dish, 0800-0900 first Wednesday of the month.
Meet Kay, the Registered Dietitian at the commissary from 1130-1230, first Wednesday of the month (in conjunction with Health Promotions Culinary Corner - healthy recipe sample).
